Resolution Declaring the List of Vehicles and Equipment as Surplus Property to be Sold at Electronic Auction on GovDeals.com

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, this resolution declares twenty-seven (27) vehicles, eleven (11) pieces of equipment, and thirteen (13) miscellaneous items, which have an estimated fair market value (Kelley Blue Book Resale Value) of $744,950.00, as surplus property to be sold as individual items on the website GovDeals.com, beginning Monday, April 8, 2024, and ending Sunday, April 21, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the proceeds from the vehicle sales will be recorded in the Fleet Fund to offset future vehicle purchases; and,
WHEREAS, published notice of the summary of this resolution and subsequent auction will be by electronic advertisement only on the City of Wilmington's website, located under “Bids and RFPs,” and the electronic publication will provide a link to the GovDeals.com auction website.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the attached list of vehicles and equipment, more particularly described in attached Exhibit ''A," is hereby declared surplus, and the City of Wilmington's Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized to publish notice and dispose of the property at public auction, in accordance with this resolution, and pursuant to N.C.G.S. Chapter 160A-270(c).
