Resolution Declaring City Owned Property Located At 114 North 2^nd Street as Surplus and Available For Sale

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:

WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington owns property located at 114 North 2^nd Street (Parcel ID R04817-017-003-000) containing approximately 0.67 of an acre (+/- 29,185 square feet); and,

WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington has received a bona fide offer for the purchase of 114 North 2^nd Street; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington’s ownership, management, and regulatory oversight of these assets are no longer required to serve the public interest.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

THAT, the Wilmington City Council does hereby declare the property located at 114 North 2^nd Street to be surplus, and authorizes the sale thereof pursuant to the upset bid process set forth in N.C.G.S. §160A-269.
