LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:

 

Lanier Tree Service LLC was awarded a contract on February 12th, 2024, for the removal of forty-three trees (43) and forty stumps (40) through the City’s bid process. Staff requests an amendment to this contract to add an additional forty-one (41) trees and stumps with twenty (20) of those trees identified within the scope of work of the Market Street Tree Mitigation Project. The amendment will be funded from the existing operating budget. 

 

The trees have been designated by Urban Forestry staff as being high risk to the street right of way. A tree replacement plan is scheduled in the appropriate planting season as conditions allow. 

 

THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

 

THAT, contract S12-1123, Lanier Tree Service, LLC is amended to include the removal of an additional forty-one trees.
