Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Purchase Two (2) Traffic Vehicles from Parks Ford HV, LLC, in the Amount of $101,605 [Budget Impact - Fleet Replacement Fund]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, with the adoption of the FY24 Fleet Replacement Fund Budget, City Council authorized the purchase/replacement of two (2) traffic vehicles from Parks Ford HV, LLC, in the amount of $101,605; and,
WHEREAS, N.C.G.S. §143-129(e)(3) provides an exception to the procedures for letting public contracts for purchases made through a competitive bidding group acquisition program, which is a formally organized program that offers competitively obtained purchasing services at discount prices; and,
WHEREAS, the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association conducted a full and open competitive solicitation for this equipment and awarded the contract to Parks Ford HV, LLC.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the procurement of the equipment pursuant to N.C.G.S. §143-129(e)(3) is authorized and appropriate.
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase, and to execute any agreements required to do so, two (2) traffic vehicles from Parks Ford HV, LLC, in the amount of $101,605.
