Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. in the Amount of $309,950 for updates to National Register Historic District Inventories [Planning & Development Budget]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
This resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a professional services agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. (“Terracon”) to update the inventories for the Wilmington, Wilmington Expansion, Sunset Park, and Westbrook-Ardmore National Register Historic Districts. Terracon was the sole respondent to a Request for Proposals issued March 8, 2024 and their proposal has been found to be responsive to the RFP. The firm has extensive experience in historic preservation work, including national register historic resource surveys in multiple communities in Florida and Alabama.
The total contract value is $309,950. Funding for this initiative was originally provided in the FY23 budget ($285,000) and carried over to FY24; the remaining $24,950 has been identified in the Department of Planning and Development’s FY24 operating budget.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the Wilmington City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement in the amount of $309,950 with Terracon Consultants, Inc. for updates to National Register Historic District inventories.
