Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Amend the Contract with NAPA Auto Parts dba Walker Automotive Supply, Inc. in an amount of $400,000 [Fleet Fund]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
This resolution authorizes a contract amendment with NAPA Auto Parts dba Walker Automotive Supply, Inc. for an additional funding of $400,000 for vehicle and equipment parts for the total amount of $1,425,860. Funding for the amendment resides in Fleets FY24 adopted budget.
N.C.G.S. 143-129(e)(3) provides an exception for purchases made through a competitive bidding group acquisition program, which is a formally organized program that offers competitively obtained purchasing services at discount prices. Sourcewell conducted a full and open competitive solicitation for this equipment and services and awarded the contract to NAPA Auto Parts.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the procurement of the equipment and services pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-129(e)(3) is authorized and appropriate; and,
THAT, the City Manager is authorized to amend and execute the one-year contract with NAPA Auto Parts dba Walker Automotive Supply, Inc.
