Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Execute a Janitorial Services Contract in the Amount of $213,615 with Cape Fear Janitorial, LLC, for the Skyline Center

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, City staff issued a request for proposals (“RFP”) for contracted janitorial services for the Skyline Center for Fiscal Year 2025; and,
WHEREAS, proposals were due on May 16, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated using the following criteria:
• 20% Cost
• 15% Experience
• 40% Service, Reliability, Qualification, & History
• 10% M/WBE Certified
• 5% Financial Stability
• 10% References (Local/NC)
WHEREAS, the proposal from Cape Fear Janitorial, LLC, was rated highest by City staff, and deemed most qualified to meet the City’s needs; and,
WHEREAS, City staff recommends awarding the janitorial services contract to Cape Fear Janitorial, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, adequate funding exists within the Skyline Center Repair and Maintenance Division’s operating budget, contingent upon Council adoption of the FY25 budget.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute a janitorial services contract for the Skyline Center in the amount of $213,615.65 with Cape Fear Janitorial, LLC.
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to approve two additional, one year contract periods, with the appropriate approval of both parties, and pending appropriations for the Skyline Center Repair and Maintenance Division’s operating budget.
