Ordinance Accepting and Appropriating Funds from the NC Department of Insurance’s Office of the State Fire Marshal Summer Fire Camp Grant to Purchase Equipment and Supplies in the Amount of $4,200

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington has been awarded the Summer Fire Camp Grant from the Office of the State Fire Marshal with the purpose of assisting fire departments in purchasing equipment and supplies needed for summer camps; and,
WHEREAS, during the Wilmington Fire Department’s Junior Fire Academy and Future Fire Academy, safety equipment, T-shirts, and nourishment are provided; and,
WHEREAS, the total grant award is $4,200 with no match.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the grant agreement.
THAT, the following appropriation is hereby made to both the Public Improvement and General Funds, and that the following revenue is available to meet this appropriation:
