Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Poulos Painting Company, Inc., of Wilmington, NC, for Repainting of Exterior Steel at the Operations Center Complex in the amount of $96,933 [Budget Impact - Building Maintenance Capital Project Budget]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City’s Operations Center Complex (“Ops Center”) currently has eleven (11) buildings, one (1) fuel island, and thirteen (13) signage & gate post locations with exterior steel that need repainting; and,
WHEREAS, the City received two (2) bids to repaint all exterior steel at the Ops Center, with the lowest bidder being Poulos Painting Company, Inc. (“Poulos”); and,
WHEREAS, staff recommends the award of the contract for repainting of all exterior steel at the Ops Center to Poulos, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; and,
WHEREAS, the contract allows for repainting of exterior steel at (11) buildings, one (1) fuel island, and thirteen (13) signage & gate post locations within the Ops Center.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Poulos Painting Company, Inc., of Wilmington, NC in the amount of $96,933 for repainting of exterior steel at the City’s Operations Center Complex.
