Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Odyssey Mechanical, LLC, for Removal and Replacement of the Main Data Center HVAC System at the Skyline Center

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City’s Skyline Center HVAC system currently has two (2) chilled water cooling systems that serve the Main Distribution Frame (“MDF”) or Main Data Center; and,
WHEREAS, the current units are at their end of life, and certain critical parts are no longer available, as the manufacturer is no longer in service; and,
WHEREAS, the City received bids to replace one (1) of these units, with the lowest bidder being Odyssey Mechanical, LLC (“Odyssey”); and,
WHEREAS, the Buildings Department at the Skyline Center recommends the award of the contract for removal and replacement of the MDF HVAC system at the Skyline Center to Odyssey; and,
WHEREAS, the contract allows for removal and replacement of one (1) cooling unit which is original equipment to the building.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Odyssey Mechanical, LLC, in the amount of $109,785 for removal and replacement of MDF HVAC systems at the Skyline Center.
