Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter Into a Security Services Contract in the Amount of $266,000 with Sunstates Security, LLC, for Security Services at the Skyline Center

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, Sunstates Security, LLC (“Sunstates”) has provided security services at the Skyline Center for PPD/Thermo Fisher from 2014-2023, and for the City since July 2023; and,
WHEREAS, security services include both day time, evening and weekend coverage; and,
WHEREAS, Sunstates has provided excellent services to the City, and the City would like to continue contracting with Sunstates for an additional year prior to initiating an open procurement process; and,
WHEREAS, adequate funding exists within the Skyline Center Repair and Maintenance Division’s operating budget for FY25 budget.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a security services contract in the amount of $266,000 with Sunstates Security, LLC, for security services at the Skyline Center.
