Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Thermaltran Mechanical Inc., of Wilmington, NC for Air Purification Equipment Improvement Installation for HVAC Systems in the Amount of $118,905 [Budget - ARPA Funds]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City has identified thirty-one (31) City facility locations where air purification equipment can be installed; and,
WHEREAS, the City received four (4) bids to install air purification equipment, with the lowest bidder being Thermaltran Mechanical, Inc. (“Thermaltran”); and,
WHEREAS, staff recommends the award of the contract for installation of air purification equipment to Thermaltran, the lowest responsive, responsible, bidder; and,
WHEREAS, The City has received and appropriated ARPA funds in the amount of $150,000 to pay for this expense.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Thermaltran Mechanical, Inc., of Wilmington, NC in the amount of $118,905 for installation of air purification equipment at thirty-one (31) City facility locations.
