LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Truelove Fabrications, Inc., of Wilmington, NC, the best qualified firm for the project described herein, for a fee of $168,632 for the design and construction of seven animal habitats at the Nature and Events Center at Halyburton Park; and,
WHEREAS, the goal of the project is to provide nature-themed animal habitats to enhance visitor experience and promote overall well-being of the animals; and,
WHEREAS, this project will complete the 2016 voter-approved Parks Bond Project for Halyburton Park.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement in the amount of $168,632 with Truelove Fabrications, Inc., for design, construction, building, and installation of animal habitats at the Nature and Events Center at Halyburton Park.
