Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a One-Year Agreement with Smartsheet, Inc., of Bellevue, Washington, for $90,960

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the IT department currently uses the Smartsheet software for ticket tracking, inventory control, project management, and resource management, and Smartsheet is utilized throughout the City for many other uses as well; and,
WHEREAS, entering a new one-year contract for an annual fee of $90,960 will allow the IT department and other users throughout the City to continue using the current software without interruption to ticket tracking and without having to procure other software for their needed purposes; and,
WHEREAS, N.C.G.S. §143-129(6)(iii) provides an exception to the requirements for letting public contracts when standardization and compatibility are the overriding terms.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a one-year agreement with Smartsheet, Inc. for the continuation of use of the Smartsheet software currently in use by the City.
