Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Award a Contract to Lanier Tree Services, LLC, in the Amount of $121,075 for the Removal Tree Stumps City-Wide [Budget Impact - $121,075 - Parks and Recreation Operating]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City advertised a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for city-wide tree stump-grinding (“Project”); and,
WHEREAS, two firms responded to the RFP, and Lanier Tree Services, LLC (“Lanier”), was selected based on superior scoring in the evaluation criteria of qualifications and experience, equipment and qualifying assets, references, and cost; and,
WHEREAS, the Project will result in the removal of three hundred and thirty (330) stumps to be ground from various locations in the City, and upon commencement, will take approximately 120 days to complete; and,
WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the award of the stump removal contract in the amount of $121,075 to Lanier.
THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Lanier Tree Services, LLC, in the amount of $121,075.
