Ordinance Making Supplemental Appropriation in the Amount of $246,382 for the Traffic Signal Preemption for Emergency Vehicles Phase II Project (5TRFD2010) [Budget Impact - Streets and Sidewalks Capital Projects Fund]

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, a supplemental agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (“NCDOT”) will provide an increase in overall project funding for the Traffic Signal Preemption for Emergency Vehicles Phase II Project (5TRFD2010) in the amount of $246,382 to cover anticipated costs, primarily associated with increases in construction costs and contingency; and,
WHEREAS, this amount is comprised of $197,106 of additional Surface Transportation Block Grant - Direct Attributable (“STBG-DA”) funding awarded by the Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (“WMPO”) and the required 20% local grant match of $49,276 from City partner agencies Novant Health and New Hanover County.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
THAT, the following supplemental appropriation is hereby made to the Streets and Sidewalk Capital Projects Fund and the following revenues are available to meet this appropriation.
