Resolution to Approve a Contract Amendment with Monteith Construction Corp. for an Amount Not to Exceed $5,450,740 for Construction Management at Risk Services Related to the Construction Phase of the Skyline Center Upfit Project

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington previously entered into a contract with Montieth Construction Corp. (“Monteith”) for Construction Manager at Risk (“CMR”) services for the Skyline Center Upfit project (“Project”); and,
WHEREAS, recently LS3P completed the construction drawings related to the Project; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to move forward with the construction phase of the Project; and,
WHEREAS, Monteith has provided the City with a preliminary estimate of construction in an amount not to exceed $5,450,740.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Monteith Construction Corp. for Construction Manager at Risk services in an amount not to exceed $5,450,740 related to the Skyline Center upfit project, and sufficient funding currently exists to support the award of this contract.
