Resolution to Approve a Contract Amendment with LS3P Architecture PLLC for $106,621 for Construction Contract Administration Services Related to the Skyline Center Upfits Project

LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington entered into a contract with LS3P Architecture PLLC (“LS3P”) shortly after purchasing Skyline Center, for the purposes of schematic design, design development, construction drawing preparation, and construction management services related to certain upfits required within proposed City occupied space (“Project”); and,
WHEREAS, all portions of the scope of services listed above for LS3P were approved previously by City Council, with the exception of construction management services; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to move to the construction phase of the Project, so it is necessary for a contract amendment to be executed related to the construction management services.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with LS3P Architecture PLLC, in the amount of $106,621, for construction contract administration services related to the Skyline Center upfits project, and sufficient funding currently exists to support the award of this contract.
