LEGISLATIVE INTENT/PURPOSE:
WHEREAS, the City of Wilmington has been awarded a grant from the US Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) Port Security Grant Fund in the amount of $162,191; and,
WHEREAS, the funding will be used to purchase drones, accessories, and rapid response vehicle equipment; and,
WHEREAS, this amount is comprised of $121,643 of DHS funding and the required 25% local grant match of $40,548 from the City’s grant match account.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
THAT, the following appropriation is hereby made to the Public Improvements/ Equipment Fund for the purchase of drones, accessories, and rapid response vehicle equipment. The following revenue is available to meet this appropriation:
