PURPOSE:
The purpose of this resolution is to award a tree removal contract for twenty-seven (27) diseased/dead/dying trees City-wide.
BACKGROUND:
The City advertised a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for a city-wide tree removal contract. Four (4) firms responded to the RFP, and Lanier Tree Services, LLC, was selected based on superior scoring in the evaluation criteria of qualifications and experience, equipment and qualifying assets, references, and cost. This project will result in the removal of twenty-seven (27) trees and their stumps in various locations in the City, and upon commencement, will take approximately sixty (60) days to complete. The replacement of these trees will take place in the winter of 2025 under a FY26 tree planting contract.
