PURPOSE:

The purpose of this resolution is to accept existing, platted, dedicated drainage easements that will be used for the second phase of the Wisteria/Clearbrook Drainage Improvement Project.  All easements in this resolution were previously recorded when the subdivision was created.

BACKGROUND:

The construction of the 2nd phase of the Wisteria/Clearbrook Drainage Improvement Project will impact over 40 separate properties.  Of those properties that are impacted, nine (9) of them have previously platted and dedicated public drainage easements that will be utilized during construction of the project and for long term maintenance once the project is complete.  The City must formally accept the easements on those nine (9) properties in order to utilize the area for the Wisteria/Clearbrook Drainage Improvement Project.

In addition, eighty percent of properties requiring acquisition of an easement have already accepted offers from the City.  Negotiations are ongoing with the remainder.
