PURPOSE: 

The purpose of this ordinance is to appropriate $1,353,000 from the North Carolina Land and Water Fund Grant Award for the Wisteria/Clearbrook Drainage Improvement Project.

BACKGROUND:   

City Council approved the submittal of a North Carolina Land and Water Fund grant application for the Wisteria/Clearbrook Drainage Improvement Project on February 6^th, 2024. The City of Wilmington was notified on October 3^rd, 2024, that the application was selected for funding. The awarded funding will go towards supplementing funds for the project’s construction.

BUDGET IMPACT:  

This item adds $1,353,000 grant funds to the existing Wisteria/Clearbrook capital drainage project to supplement existing funds.  No local match is required.
