PURPOSE:
The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the up-fit of twenty-three (23) WPD vehicles authorized for purchase in the FY25 Fleet Replacement Budget with lighting, cages, radios, and other necessary equipment. The attached quotes include twenty-one (21) Marked Units, one (1) K-9 Unit, and one (1) Mobile Command Support truck.
BACKGROUND:
Mobile Communications America, Inc. staff have worked with WPD and Fleet staff to design and layout each vehicle type. This purchase will maintain standardization and fleet uniformity for WPD vehicles.

Funding for the equipment was approved in Fleet’s FY25 adopted budget.

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase, and to execute any agreements required to do so, all equipment and installation necessary for twenty-three (23) police vehicles from Mobile Communications America, Inc. for the total amount of $287,771 is recommended.
