PURPOSE:

Attached for your consideration is a Resolution of Intent to Close a portion of Aubrey Alley, an unimproved right-of-way located between Parsley Street and Davis Street.

BACKGROUND:

This portion of unimproved right-of-way is approximately 30 feet in width and has a total length of approximately 264 feet and consists of ±0.18 acres of land. If approved, the street closure request will add additional lot area to three adjacent lots.

The City’s Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the requested closure on June 4, 2025. Public comments were accepted via an online form on the City’s website in advance of the Planning Commission meeting.  No comments were received, and no one spoke at the public hearing. After discussion, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of the requested right-of-way closure.

No future connectivity would be impaired by the closure of the right-of-way. If this resolution is approved, the public hearing for this item would occur on August 5, 2025.
