PURPOSE:
The purpose of this contract is to authorize the City Manager to amend a contract with Clarke Power Services, Inc. (“Clarke Power”), in the amount of $71,725 for the emergency generator preventative maintenance and repair service contract to continue through the end of FY26.
BACKGROUND:
The City initiated a contract with Clarke Power for this service in FY24 through a competitive bidding process. The total expenses to date for preventive maintenance and repair work are $89,866. The proposed $71,725 contract amendment for FY26 will exceed the $90,000 service contract signature limit for the City Manager. The contract agreement allows for two (2) renewal years with mutual consent from both parties. Below is a summary of contract costs to date and the proposed FY26 cost.

This contract amendment will continue to provide comprehensive emergency generator maintenance and repair for eighteen (18) emergency generators at multiple City maintenance facilities (see attached facility list). The total value of the contract pending approval of this resolution will be $161,591.
