PURPOSE:
This resolution makes changes to the Rules of Procedure for the Wilmington Planning Commission relating to the conduct of meetings and agenda management.
BACKGROUND:
These amendments include the following changes:
1. Clarify which matters that come before the Planning Commission require a legislative hearing;
2. Allow the presiding official to give one extension of time to speakers;
3. Remove requirement for applicants to appear in person on matters that have been withdrawn;
4. Additional minor provisions relating to the conduct of meetings and agenda management.
These recommended amendments have already been presented to and approved by the Wilmington Planning Commission at its June 4, 2025, meeting.

It is recommended that the amended Rules of Procedure for the Wilmington Planning Commission be adopted and become effective immediately.
