PURPOSE:
The purpose of this ordinance is to provide funding for the FY26 Tree Planting Contract of six hundred and forty-one (641) trees in various locations throughout the City. The companion Resolution requests award of the contract.
BACKGROUND:
The Tree Mitigation fund is dedicated for tree preservation and maintenance on public lands and rights of way. The funds were received and credited to a revenue account. However, the funds have not been appropriated. This ordinance is to appropriate $577,023.50 of those funds for a FY26 tree planting contract.
