PURPOSE:
Attached for your consideration is a resolution authorizing the official acceptance of right-of-way and easement improvements at Pacific Place and Woodlands Grove for ownership, operation, and maintenance by the City.
BACKGROUND:
Pacific Place was constructed in 2020 by Pacific Place, LLC. The improvements include approximately 0.43 miles of roadway and associated drainage and pedestrian improvements. The roadway and easements proposed for acceptance within the Pacific Place neighborhood are identified in Exhibit 'A' attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
Woodlands Grove (also known as Woodlands at Echo Farms, Phase 3B) was constructed in 2020 and 2021 by Woodlands at Echo Farms, LLC. The improvements include approximately 0.83 miles of roadway and associated drainage and pedestrian improvements. The roadway and easements proposed for acceptance within the Woodlands Grove neighborhood are identified in Exhibit 'B' attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
Section 18-596.A of the City Code sets forth provisions for the City Council to approve these additions to the City's infrastructure system upon recommendation by the City Engineer. The City Engineer has determined that the dedicated improvements and related appurtenances within the public rights-of-way, and within public drainage and sidewalk easements, have been constructed substantially to City standards and in accordance with City requirements, and that it is in the best interest of the City that the improvements be accepted as public.
