PURPOSE:
The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the award of a contract to Lanier Tree Service, LLC, of Kinston, NC (“Lanier”) for the removal of twenty-two (22) trees and their stumps and one hundred six (106) additional stumps.
BACKGROUND:
The City advertised a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for a city-wide tree and stump removal contract through November 25, 2025. The City received one proposal. This project will consist of the removal of twenty-two (22) trees with stumps and one-hundred six (106) additional stumps in various locations in the City. Upon commencement, the project will take approximately ninety (90) days to complete.

Funds are available in the Parks and Recreation FY26 operating budget.
