PURPOSE:
The City of Wilmington is eligible to apply for a Governor’s Highway Safety Program Grant in the amount of $25,000.
BACKGROUND:
Grant funding is available to further the City of Wilmington’s Vision Zero program with the goal of having no traffic fatalities. The Wilmington Police Department will use grant funds for overtime to enhance enforcement of all traffic related offenses such as speeding, DWI, and seatbelt violations.
