PURPOSE:
The purpose of this resolution is to reject the bid that was received from Trader Construction Company for the Downtown Alley Improvements Project (“Project”).
BACKGROUND:
The Project was advertised for bids on February 12, 2026, with a bid due date of March 19, 2026. At the March 19, 2026, bid opening, one (1) bid was received and could not be opened due to a lack of a sufficient number of bids.
The Project was re-advertised with a re-bid opening on April 2, 2026, two (2) weeks after the initial bid opening. One (1) bid was received at the re-bid opening from Trader Construction Company and opened at that time. The Trader Construction Company bid amount exceeded the currently available budget for the Project.
