PURPOSE:

The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with NU-Pipe, LLC (“NU-Pipe”) in the amount of $1,429,165, for the 2025 Annual Needs Stormwater Rehabilitation Contract.

BACKGROUND:

The contract primarily focuses on in-situ pipe rehabilitation work, which typically prevents significant road closures, and is performed in a shorter time frame than either point repairs or full replacement of drainage pipe. Public Works has identified proposed storm drainage pipe rehabilitation locations across the City that are prioritized based on stormwater infrastructure need (pipe condition), and alignment and coordination with street rehabilitation planning and resurfacing.

The initial contract term is for one year with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods, with mutual consent from both parties. Execution of this contract will allow for this important storm drainage rehabilitation work to begin at the following locations (also see attached map):

•                     10th & Grace

•                     Pine Grove Dr. Culvert (south of Pine Grove Dr and Greenville Loop Rd Intersection)

•                     Kirby Smith & Cassidy

•                     Robert E. Lee (various locations)

•                     Grace & Front

•                     Golf Course Spillway Outfall

•                     3931 Appleton Way (Easement area)

•                     W. Lakeshore & Botanical Lane (AECOM bridge/culvert assessment)
