PURPOSE:
This resolution will amend Council’s established schedule of meetings for the September 14, 2026, Agenda Briefing meeting and the September 15, 2026, Regular Council Meeting.
BACKGROUND:
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has scheduled public hearings on the proposed replacement of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, a project of critical importance to the community. In order for Council to be able to attend these important meetings, it is proposed to move the scheduled September 14, 2026, Agenda Briefing meeting to September 21, 2026, and to move the scheduled September 15, 2026, Regular Council Meeting to September 22, 2026.
