PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Ordinance is to appropriate funds from the sale of SABLE assets into the SABLE-UAS program.
BACKGROUND:
The SABLE helicopter program has transitioned into the SABLE-UAS drone program. At its May 4, 2026, regular meeting, Council authorized certain helicopter parts that were no longer needed to be sold on the website GovDeals.com beginning June 11, 2026, to support the SABLE-UAS Program. This additional funding will provide resources for that program.
BUDGET IMPACT:
This ordinance will appropriate $68,853 from the sale of SABLE assets to the SABLE-UAS Program.
