PURPOSE:
The purpose of this ordinance is to appropriate $193,825 from committed revenues to fund annual maintenance, repairs, and operational needs at Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park and the Hugh Morton Amphitheater at Greenfield Park. This includes landscaping, turf, hardscape, irrigation, infrastructure, playground, water features, custodial services, and equipment-related services. Funding includes necessary labor, materials, supplies, and equipment needed to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained park facilities and amenities.
BACKGROUND:
The City Fee Schedule includes a $.50 per ticket surcharge designated for non-profit agencies, and a $2.00 per ticket surcharge for organizations that are for-profit for productions hosted at both facilities. The purpose of the ticket surcharge is to ensure the quality and longevity of these parks.
The fees collected are placed in committed revenue, with $1.00 allocated to the general fund and $1.00 allocated for maintenance and improvements to park facilities. The current balance of committed revenue for Live Oak Bank Pavilion is $270,761.68, and the balance for the Hugh Morton Amphitheater is $223,541.28.
