PURPOSE:
Attached for your consideration is a resolution authorizing the official acceptance of right-of-way improvements within the RiverLights development for ownership, operation, and maintenance by the City.
BACKGROUND:
The roads and easements proposed for acceptance were constructed in 2017 and 2018 by NNP IV - Cape Fear River, LLC, as part of the RiverLights project. The improvements include approximately 3.3 miles of roadway and associated drainage and pedestrian improvements. The streets and easements proposed for acceptance within Phase II are identified in attached Exhibit ‘A,’ and the Phase IV streets and easements proposed for acceptance are identified in attached Exhibit ‘B.’ Site photos of each location are also attached.
Section 18-596.A of the City Code makes provisions for City Council to approve these additions to the City’s infrastructure system, upon recommendation by the City Manager.
