PURPOSE:
The purpose of this ordinance is to appropriate additional funds from the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (“CFPUA”) for associated water line work that is required as part of the Front Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project (“Project”).
BACKGROUND:
The City and CFPUA wish to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for CFPUA to reimburse the City for construction costs related to their water line that conflicts with the proposed scope of work for the Project. This appropriation is based on the actual awarded bid price, plus a 10% contingency.

The City will be reimbursed by CFPUA in an amount not to exceed $131,078.
