Attachment #1: Resolution

PURPOSE

The purpose of this resolution is to renew a one-year contract with Smartsheet, Inc. (“Smartsheet”) for an enterprise work management platform, with options for up to two additional one-year renewals. The first-year renewal is $105,840, and subsequent renewal years may increase by up to 5%, with the total cost for all three years not to exceed $333,660.

BACKGROUND:

Since adopting Smartsheet in 2018, the city has steadily expanded its use across departments. Today, Smartsheet supports a wide range of operations, including ticket tracking, inventory management, project and resource management, and many other routine operational needs throughout the organization.

This contract was procured pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes §143B-1320(c)-(d), which exempts certain IT services from competitive bid requirements.

budget

BUDGET IMPACT:

Funding in the amount of $105,840 will come from IT’s budget and was included in the FY27 adopted budget. Funding for the two optional renewal years would be contingent upon approval in the FY28 and FY29 budgets.
