PURPOSE:
Continued discussion from the budget process regarding funding requests from the Film Partnership of North Carolina and the Community Justice Center (CJC).
BACKGROUND:
During the fiscal year 2027 budget development, the Film Partnership of North Carolina and the CJC requested grant funding. At the May 29th Budget Work Session, City Council discussed the initial request and staff agreed to bring it back after the adoption of the budget.

BUDGET IMPACT:
For FY27, City Council has $135,000 in Council Economic Development Funds and $100,000 in Contingency that is available. Staff can also continue to explore other available budget funds.
