PURPOSE:
The purpose of this ordinance is to appropriate the proceeds from a Community Grant from the New Hanover Community Endowment in the amount of $4,528 to assist the Police Activities League (PAL).
BACKGROUND:
The City of Wilmington Police Department was awarded a Community Grant from the New Hanover Community Endowment in the amount of $4,528. The Police Department will use this award to support the Police Activities League (PAL) in their effort to provide the youth of New Hanover County with mentoring, coaching, tutoring through education, athletics and prevention.
