PURPOSE:

The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the existing landscaping services contract for City-owned properties managed by the Asset and Property Management Department.

BACKGROUND:

The City entered into a three-year contract with LITG, Inc. on July 1, 2023, with a renewal option of two (2) additional years in 12-month increments. The Asset and Property Management Department has renewed the existing contract for the first 12 month extension and now proposes amending the contract. The amendment adds thirty-two (32) locations to the existing fifteen (15) properties, revises the annual service frequencies, and includes a contractor-requested price increase consistent with the current Consumer Price Index.

The annual contract amount will increase from $114,762 to $162,510. In addition to existing funding, the FY27 budget provides additional funding for downtown City properties in the Municipal Service District. Modification of service frequencies and locations will provide mowing and landscape maintenance focused on the growing season and maximize the appearance and consistency of service.
